MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) -- A Wisconsin man has been found guilty of hiring a prostitute -- for his 13-year-old son.

A jury in Milwaukee deliberated for about two hours before Thursday's verdict.

The boy claimed that his father told him it was time for his first sexual experience. According to the teen, a prostitute then arrived -- and his father handed him a condom.

The father denies it -- and says he was shocked when police told him what his son was saying.

He says his son is lying because he wouldn't buy him a pair of expensive basketball shoes.

The father, convicted of failing to act to prevent the sexual assault of a child, could face ten years in prison.
